Join passionate Permaculture teacher; Jess Austin, for a weekend exploring the fundamentals of permaculture – a powerful design approach for creating resilient, sustainable systems in gardens, farms, communities, and beyond. Whether you’re completely new to the idea or want to explore it further, this course will give you the tools, inspiration, and confidence to begin applying permaculture principles in your daily life. Our Introduction to Permaculture Course is UK CPD Accredited with the Permaculture Association Britain.
The course runs for two full days, from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
The course fee is £180.
You will be awarded a certificate on completion of the course, as this is a UK CPD Accredited course with the Permaculture Association Britain.

Climate Cafe
Are you concerned about the climate emergency?
You're not alone.
We're all beginning to feel the impact of the climate and ecological emergency here in Waltham Forest where we have experienced fire and floods. Add to that the rising cost of fuel and groceries, many of us are having to tighten our belts or risk falling into debt.
We need to talk about this. As friends and neighbours, we can support each other through these times. Nobody should have to face this crisis alone. Let's show each other empathy and concern because together, as a community, we can meet any challenge.
Please join us for this FREE EVENT (donations welcome). All are welcome, especially those with no prior experience or involvement with this type of event.
Rob Stuart is a Walthamstow based psychodynamic counsellor with a particular interest in the climate emergency. He is a registered member of the British Psychoanalytic Council, the British Associate of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Birkbeck Counselling Association and the Climate Psychology Alliance.

Anything is possible! We’ll have three one-hour session from 2PM to 5PM so reserve your spot now!
As well as making something unique, you’ll be helping to give clothes a longer life and supporting the Hornbeam’s work around climate action, waste reduction, and building a more sustainable community.

National Emergency Briefing
In November 2025, the National Emergency Briefing on Climate & Nature brought together leading experts to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis to politicians and other influential people in Westminster. That evidence is now on the public record.
