Idle Hands x Hornbeam Mending Circle

  • The Hornbeam Centre 458 Hoe Street London, England, E17 9AH United Kingdom (map)

Repairing a garment is a commitment to the kind of world we want to live in and a demonstration that newness doesn’t equate to value, craft, care and resilience hold a higher value.

Monthly Mending Circle

💚 Learn how to mend your garments and textile items in a warm supportive and relaxed environment.

🌍 Reduce waste, fight relentless capitalist consumption, make friends and learn skills for life!

🙌🏼 No prior experience necessary. This will be more of an informal meeting than a formal class but I’ll be on hand with help and guidance.

🧶 Basic materials provided, a donation to help cover the cost would be wonderful and of course you’re welcome to bring your own.

☕️ Tea and snacks on hand, and please bring some to share with the group too.

Convened by local textile artist and long time repair fanatic Bronwyn Opland @idle__hands__

Spaces can be booked via Eventbrite - link coming soon!
