The Hornbeam is an ideal space in the heart of Waltham Forest for people to meet, learn and take action together.

  • The meeting room

    Our meeting room will comfortably seat 5 to 10 people. All bookings include access to tea and coffee facilities by donation.

    The meeting room is ideal for group meetings, music or art classes and meeting clients.

    Accessibility: It is on the first floor up a tight flight of stairs.

    Our standard rates are:

    • £10 per hour

    • £40 flat rate for 4h+

    We may be able to offer a reduced rate if you are a community group, or if you make a regular booking

  • Cafe space

    The cafe will comfortably seat up to 20 people. It is ideal for group meetings, cinema nights, music or art classes and supper clubs. You can make teas and coffees in the kitchenette space.

    Accessibility: Ramp leads to main entrance. There is one accessible toilet on the ground floor.

    Our standard rates are:

    • £20 per hour for the first 2 hours

    • £15 per hour thereafter

    If you are a community group we may be able to offer a reduced rate so do get in touch!

  • Professional Kitchen

    Usually hired alongside other spaces, or as part of a Pop-Up. Contact us for more information.

Learning Lodge

Pimp Hall Nature Reserve, E4

The Learning Lodge is situated in the beautiful Pimp Hall Nature Reserve in Chingford.

  • Main space

    Space for 30-50 people – ideal for meetings, workshops and classes. Includes access to the kitchen.

    Accessibility: ramp leads to the main entrance. There are two accessible toilets.

    • £20 per hour for one-off events

    • £15 per hour for regular sessions (minimum of 6 hours)

    If you are planning to use the outdoor space when booking the Learning Lodge you have to complete a Greenspace Hire Form ideally 4 weeks prior to booking as the council needs to grant permission for park use.

    Note: Any outdoor activities need to be compatible with the nature reserve. Activities should be limited to 10 people, quiet and not creating any disturbance or damage to the flora, fauna or infrastructure of the site.

    Similarly we can also no longer accept bookings for children’s parties

  • Desk hire

    Desks, include Wifi and access to the kitchen where you are welcome to make yourself tea and coffee and keep things fresh in the fridge.

    Accessibility: ramp leads to the main entrance. There are two accessible toilets.

    Available 10am-3pm, Monday to Friday

    Rate: £2.5 an hour, minimum 2 hr booking.
