Where can I buy fresh fruit and veg, support local growing, and get great value??
Organiclea is a food cooperative with a growing site, and at the Hornbeam Café runs a unique weekly vegetable and fruit box scheme.
It really is incredibly local - much of the produce comes from small-scale organic farmers in
When can I pick up?
You can pick up your box every Wednesday, from 4pm to 7.30pm, at the Hornbeam Café (close to the Baker’s Arms junction). Your bags will also be there while the café is open on Thursdays and Fridays – from 10am to 5pm. If you’ve got the time and the schedule, drop in and have a coffee or lunch too.
What if I can’t pick up?
We’re piloting a new delivery offer: if there are a group of you in an area, we will deliver your bags. You should order 5 bags or more (a mixture of sizes, fruit and veg is fine) - and we will deliver all the bags to one location by bike and trailer late Wednesday afternoon.

What do I do next?
-
Drop by the cafe any Wednseday afternoon to see the bags and chat to Rebecca or whoever is packing the bags;
-
Come to the stall on Saturday and have a look at the produce, and talk to someone about the scheme then;
-
Email or call to arrange the date of your first bag and payment: box@organiclea.org.uk or 020 8558 6880 (leave message if necessary).
How do I pay?
By monthly standing order please!! This is by far the best for us as it enables us to plan in advance and offer a much better service. You can also pay by cheque in advance, or with Sure Start vouchers.
What happens when I go on holiday?
Monthly prices are calculated to include 4 weeks holiday each year. If you don’t go away, you get longer than 4 weeks, we will refund you for each week over this — just remember to let us know in advance. You can also organise for a friend or neighbour to collect your veg while you’re away which lets them try out the box scheme.
Thanks for your interest and we look forward to taking your order!
