We are looking for a chef to join our team, who will be relaunching the Cafe from October 2017.
Cafe Manager Frankie will be bringing his experience from a range of food enterprises and from cheffing within the Hornbeam to take us forward – the same brilliant vibe with a few new twists.
The Hornbeam Café is one of the longest running vegan/veggie cafes in London. Based in one of the Hornbeam’s two venues, our vision – like the Hornbeam – is active communities where people have a positive impact on their environment. This means that: most of what we sell is from local businesses including coffee, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages; all our fresh ingredients are sourced as locally as possible, with most of our fruits and vegetables coming from local food enterprise Organiclea; and we are committed to a zero-waste policy with very minimal amount of our rubbish going to landfill.
You’ll need to prepare and cook hot and cold food five days a week, as well as vegan cakes and cookies. You’ll be working to a planned menu but you’ll be responsible for the kitchen while you’re there, and for keeping it organised and tidy.
