How do you feel about the image above? Do you find it beautiful? challenging? empowering? revolting? Let’s talk about it.
Throughout history, menstruation has been largely kept out of sight and discourse, but what happens when artists decide to bring it into the public eye? That will be the focus of our next event, organised and led in collaborration with Elise Yarde, whose work to relieve period poverty has won her a 2017 WoWU award.
Let’s Talk About Periods is a series of events looking to understand and challenge attitudes towards menstruation. It’s a safe space for people to share experiences, offload, learn from each other, reclaim and celebrate the body that gave all of us life.
This event isn’t for women only, please feel free to bring your partners and teens along.
