Thu 28th Feb 2019
6:30pm - 8:30pm
The Hornbeam Café
Join herbalist Rasheeqa for an exploration of the healing medicine that trees can offer us, with a focus on the seasonality of plant medicine and using different plant parts at different times of year.
After a morning walk on Hackney Marshes to identify specific trees that offer known therapeutic activity when their bark or buds or leaves are prepared into medicine, and to harvest a little of our local abundance…
… We will gather at The Hornbeam Centre and Cafe in Walthamstow in the evening to make medicine together.
Trees are magic! This day will be a respectful foray into the world of seasonal observation, connection with our local wild lands, reinforcing our knowledge of ethical wildcrafting practice and making good medicines in company to support our health as we look from winter to spring light coming.
Book your place at the Hornbeam workshop here – £10 + booking fee.
You will take home an info sheet with recipes and the remedy that we make.
For the morning walk, please contact Rasheeqa on 07784 506494 to book a place and for details of where to meet – suggested £5 donation that will go towards Herbalists Without Borders London activity.
