10:00am - 2:00pm
The Hornbeam E17
The Hornbeam Cafe is closed on Mondays – but that doesn’t mean you can’t come and be part of a great weekly get-together – Community Monday – cooking zero-waste food or doing other useful volunteering to help with the up-keep of the Hornbeam.
Past Community Mondays have included Makeover Mondays (painting, repairing and general upkeep of the Hornbeam), skill shares in low cost and sustainable living, sign-writing, jam and juice making (working to an AQA certification for those that would like to get it), social media sharing and admin support.
The first and third Monday of every month is People’s Kitchen – a chance to learn vegan cooking skills for free, and make lunch for anyone who’d like to come for Pay-As-You-Feel lunch from 1-2pm. The ingredients are donated from local shops and the Felix Project which reduces food waste.
Generally Community Mondays are as follows:
Pop-in and join us any Monday to take part in an activity (ring the doorbell as the downstairs cafe will be closed) or just come and learn about other volunteering roles. Alternatively, email email@example.com or fill in the form below.
