Sunday Family Club

Pimp Hall Nature Reserve is a beautiful small wooded area in Chingford where we organise activities for people to spend valuable time in nature.

Every second and fourth Sunday enjoy quality time with your kids.

Kids Kitchen will help you make delicious food with your under 5s and other activities will be taking place inside and outside the Learning Lodge such as outdoor learning, visits to Pimp Hall allotments, activities with the Friends of Pimp Hall Park. Activities will take place on the second and fourth Sunday of every month with activities from Kids Kitchen, Walk the Loop and Craft activities.

Sun 11 Sept, 2-4pm – Sunday Family Club – Cultivate Edition. Free.
As part of the Cultivate Festival, join this special Sunday Family Club to spend quality time in beautiful natural surroundings of Pimp Hall Nature Reserve. Kids Kitchen makes seasonal delights with kids and adults. Free.

Wednesday 21 Sept, 1:30-5:30pm Crafternoon – In Aid of Mind, the mental health charity
Get crafting to help raise funds for Mind so anyone experiencing a mental health problem has somewhere to turn for advice and support. It’s the perfect excuse to spend time with family and friends and, even better, it’s a great way to boost mental wellbeing.  Suggested donation  £3

Tai Chi Classes every Wednesday (term times) 10am – 11am

Moving in harmony with nature. Re-engernise your body and mind through Tai Chi graceful movement. A community project by Dao Lu CIC.

Forest School: Early-years outdoor learning and play sessions  Fridays term time.    Morning session 9.45 – 12.30 and afternoon 12.30 – 3.30.  We are excited to announce that within this block of Forest School sessions at Pimp Hall on Fridays, for the first time, the afternoon sessions will be for 6-11 year olds (all other sessions and those in past have been for 3-6 year olds.
Course Fees £108 for 9 week block payable in advance.

A fun programme in Hatha Yoga exploring basic breathing exercises and the classical postures. All equipment provided, suitable for beginners. Contact Kirsty /  07903 035180

Volunteers welcome at Forest School:  Volunteers can come all day (9.45am – 3pm) or for either the morning (9.45 – 12.30) or the afternoon (12.30 – 3.30) only and those able to commit to all or most of the weeks are preferred as the same group of children will be in attendance over the 12 weeks.

About the Learning Lodge
The Learning Lodge IMG_7810is situated in the beautiful Pimp Hall Nature Reserve in Chingford.
The Learning Lodge is a joint project of the Hornbeam Environment Centre, Forest Recycling Project, Organiclea, HEET and Friday Hill TMO.

IMG_7878It is a space for the community to meet, learn and take action together. As a group we strive to inspire people through our Low Cost Living Campaign to live with a lower cost to themselves financially, to their health and to the environment.

  • £20 per hour for one-off events
  • £15 per hour for regular sessions (minimum of 6 hours)

Hire costs for a full day or full weeks available on request.

Wildlife Photography Competition

Capture the beauty of Pimp Hall Nature Reserve with a camera and win fantastic prizes with your photographs. Whether you are a hobby-photographer or a professional – we believe you can win! There are two categories: Wildlife and Still-life. All pictures need to be of Pimp Hall Nature Reserve and submitted electronically or in print by the 8th February 2016. Winners of the competition will be announced on the 20th February. Submitted work will be assessed by a panel of professional photographers and nature experts.Photography competition
