As part of our We Love Low Cost Living Campaign to support local people to share, grow and nurture their resources we have engaged with 12 different community groups from all over Waltham Forest to star in our Waltham Forest Eats Community Calendar 2016.
The calendar is now all over the borough…! You can find it down in the Waltham Forest Disability Resource Centre in Leytonstone, at our Hornbeam Café in Hoe Street, in the classy Grace and Albert Cookshop in Highams Park AND in the Feelgood Café in Chingford! Hoping to pop it into the Veg Hut and a few other places in the next few days… please let us know if you’d like some to distribute!
Each month has a tasty vegetarian recipe put together by the groups alongside a professional chef, and includes useful tips on how to eat, cook or create a cheap wholesome seasonal meal. We prepared, created and shared a whole range of delicious healthy, organic and vegetarian meals together.
We are asking for a donation of £2.00 to help to fund us to deliver a food related project next year.
Thanks to everyone who took part, and we look forward to working together to make great local food again!
