The Hornbeam Centre underwent major refurbishment in 2009-10 and has steadily
grown with the active-energy this has brought. Funding is now being made
available to employ a site-based development worker, initially for a year. This role will build on this engagement by further increasing community participation and use of the Centre and
work to maximise self-generated income. This includes strong partnership work with other local community organisations involved in community-based environmental work and delivering environmental services.
Major tasks will include:
* Engage and co-ordinate the contribution of others to the development of the Centre helping them to drive forward activities to make environmental and social change happen.
* Maximise participation in Centre activities and increase income from use of the building
* Fundraise for Centre projects and activities.
