Venue, Room and Desk Hire

We are unable to take new bookings on either of our venues until 23rd August: in this time we’ll be upgrading our bookings system, and a number of us will be away.

We have space for hire to local people, groups, and campaigns.

Hornbeam, E17:  Hoe Street.

  • Meeting Room: a mid sized room on the first floor seating a maximum of 12 people. Availability and Book
  • Shared Desk Space: with or without PC, includes Wifi.  Availability and Book
  • Cafe Area with servery at the rear comfortably seating up to 30 people (22 if table seating), wheelchair access and an accessible WC. Availability and Book
  • Professional Kitchen: Large oven, well resourced, limited availability but space for 3-5 people working so suitable for small courses. Availability and Book

Learning Lodge at Pimp Hall Nature Reserve, E4.

  • Meeting and Event Space: for 30-50, with tea/coffee making facilities, in fantastically serene surroundings. Availability and Book

Room hire rates vary dependent upon who is hiring and the type of event, but as a guide we charge locally based not-for-profit organisations £15 per hour for the medium sized meeting rooms, with discounts for smaller groups which are closely aligned with Hornbeam’s aims & activities; for large / commercial organisations we charge £20 per hour.

Because our café operates from 11am – 4pm on Mondays to Fridays & 10.30am – 5pm Saturdays, meetings or events can only be booked downstairs in the evenings, except on Sundays when the cafe can be booked 9am – 10pm.

The upstairs room is available 9am – 10pm seven days a week. It’s also a great place to meet privately over lunch Mon – Sat, with tasty veggie catering and a wide range of refreshments available from downstairs!

The top floor room is available during cafe hours for immediate bookings, and at other times by arrangement.

The Hornbeam accepts payment for room hire in cash,  by cheque payable to ‘Hornbeam Centre’, or by bank transfer.  We also have an online booking  system now for some rooms.
