Kitchen Volunteer

The purpose of this role is to help with cleaning and chopping vegetables, washing up and cleaning the kitchen, cooking and occasionally baking. We are looking for someone who has a friendly attitude, an interest in catering and/or vegan/vegetarian food and an awareness of health and hygiene. Download full role description here.

Café Volunteer

The purpose of this role is to help with taking orders from customers, serving food and beverages, washing up, clearing tables and handling money. We are looking for someone who has good communication skills, a friendly attitude, are good at handling money and with an awareness of health and hygiene. Download full role description here.

Administrative Volunteer

This key role involves helping with the running the Hornbeam Centre’s day to day administration and building management. I will involve answering the phone and emails, supporting room bookings and adding events to the website calendar. We are looking for someone with good communication skills, a basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word or OpenOffice and the ability to work without continual supervision. Promotion Volunteer

This key role involves supporting the promotion of the Hornbeam Centre’s aims, projects and events, in order increase local people’s awareness of, and engagement with, the centre. It will involve compiling & mailing out the “What’s on” events list, creating flyers and promoting events external. We are looking for someone who has very good communication skills, has knowledge in MS Word or OpenOffice and has the ability to work without continual supervision.
