Film Night: Mini Holland in Waltham Forest: A Conversation

Date/Time
Thu 13th Jul 2017
6:30pm - 9:00pm

Location
The Hornbeam E17

This half hour film shines a spotlight on the Mini Holland project to examine the effects on the local environment and the community.

Mini Holland is a scheme funded by Transport for London, to promote cycling in outer London boroughs and to address some of the pressing issues of our age like air pollution and our sedentary lifestyles.

Waltham Forest was awarded £30 million Mini Holland funds in 2014. However the implementation of the scheme has proved very controversial.

This evening will give local people the opportunity to explain their position  – for and against – allowing the audience to draw their own conclusions.  It is hoped it will contribute to a balanced and inclusive consideration of the issues.

The Walthamstow Community Video Workshop is open to local residents who want to practice and develop video skills while making short programmes relevant to local people.
