Fri 5 May, 6.30-10pm. Film Night – Foreign. FREE with pay-as-you-feel vegan food. Documentary giving emotional insight into the journey of two migrants from Cameroon to Europe. Full details on Facebook.

Sat 6th, 13th and 20th May, 6.30-8.30pm or 8.30-10.30pm. Pie and Mash Pop-up Supper Club Join Tegan the Vegan for 100% vegan Pie, Mash, Peas and Liquor (or gravy!)! This is the first of our Pop-Up Supper Clubs and it’s sounds amazing! If you’re a lonesome pie eater, don’t be shy, The Hornbeam is a cracking place to meet and mingle with new lovely people. Fri 12 May, 7.30-11.30pm – Jam sandwich. Monthly musical jamboree. No mics, no pressure. Just a flowing lovely musical space for people to express themselves. Bring instruments, voices, dancing feet. Full details on Facebook.

Thurs 18 May, 8.30-10pm. Hedge Herbs workshop with Rasheeqa Ahmad. Create delicious healing tonics for your family/households/friends with seasonal  locally foraged and grown herbs. Learn practical pharmacy skills, share knowledge round the table and take home your medicines as well as making a stock for the community to be available from the Hornbeam Cafe. May focus: Dandelion tea, coffee, syrup and Dandelion and Burdock root beer tonic for cleansing and liver health. £10 per person. Full details on Facebook.

Fri 19th May, Open Decks. Bring vinyl. Spin some tunes. Buy records. Drink a cocktail. Mingle. Dance. Yeah. Arrive by 8pm to get your name on the board. Full details on Facebook. 

Thursday 25 May 7.30-9pm. Permaculture & You Workshop – with Darren Springer. An interactive introductory workshop looking at the fundamental ethics and principles of permaculture while learning practical tips for personalising and implementing the tools in our busy daily, urban settings. More information coming soon, check Facebook events and cafe noticeboards.

Fri 26 May, 7.30-11.30pm. Dusty Grooves. Hornbeam Nights resident DJs Lounch & Nood ambient down-tempo grooves, dub, low-fi electronica and underground hip-hop on the last Friday of every month from May. Full details on Facebook. 

Sat 27 May, Ra Ra Ramen Pop-Up Supper Club, 7.00-8.30pm or 9.00-10.30pm. Join local chefs for a tasty vegan take on one of Japan’s most popular dishes – Ramen.  £7.50 per person. Full details on Facebook. Booking info.

From Sunday 28th May-2nd July – Adlib Music Beatmaker’s Workshop – A six week Hand Drum course for Beginners
Learn to incorporate rhythm and tempo, whilst working as a team to compose an ensemble of fun, foot-tapping drum beats. Play a range of drums from the West African djembe to the Cajon, and the popular snare drum.
