The Hornbeam Centre is seeking to appoint a part time Environmental Volunteering Project Worker who will be responsible for the strategic development, and day to day management, of the Hornbeam Volunteer Programme.

The Hornbeam Centre is a community environmental centre with a café and meeting room space. It provides a hub for local food and environmental education projects, and a space for people to find out what’s going on locally and how to get involved.

The Hornbeam Volunteer Programme entails matching volunteer need (via individuals or community groups & social care agencies who want to refer people) with organisations offering environmental volunteering opportunities, and ensuring that volunteers placed are offered appropriate support and development opportunities. The Environmental Volunteering Project Worker is a flexitime position for 15 hours per week, and has a salary of £11.50 per hour. The job description for this role can be found here.
